ST. CHARLES COUNTY—A St. Louis man faces seven charges for the mayhem on I-70 last week.
Julian Matino, 30, allegedly sped by an officer on I-70 westbound at 86 miles per hour in a golden Dodge Caravan. With emergency lights flaring behind him, Matino appeared to be exiting the interstate at Mid Rivers Mall Drive only to hop back on and the minivan accelerated.
The officer performed a tactical vehicle intervention that brought Matino to a rest against the inside median. Persistent in his attempt to flee, Matino allegedly took off again but in the in the wrong direction of I-70…
