ST. LOUIS – An incarcerated person at the St. Louis City Justice Center is facing a new charge for attacking a corrections officer.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the attack happened on Thursday, Feb. 5.
Police said John Darden Jr., 51, had been at the Justice Center since Dec. 29, 2025, for first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.
