ST. LOUIS – Redd Foxx, a St. Louis native and pioneering stand-up comedian, broke significant barriers in comedy and television throughout a career that spanned several decades.

Foxx is widely recognized for his mainstream success and his leading role in the 1970s hit television series “Sanford and Son.”
