South City neighbors say wrong-way drivers and one-way change are creating safety concerns

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Residents in south St. Louis’ Marine Villa neighborhood say wrong-way drivers are a frequent problem near the intersection of Marine Avenue and Miami Street, and they believe a recent one-way traffic change has added confusion.

Neighbors told First Alert 4 they regularly see drivers turn off South Broadway and head the wrong direction on Marine Avenue, sometimes at higher speeds and with close calls involving oncoming traffic.

Some residents have captured near-collisions on home surveillance video, including one incident they say involved a school bus going the wrong way…
