ST. LOUIS — The city’s Land Reutilization Authority is seeking approval to demolish the long-vacant Club Imperial building in north St. Louis, citing structural deterioration and high stabilization costs, according to a press release from St. Louis Development Corp., which staffs the LRA.
The LRA, a government land bank that owns the property, plans to ask its board Wednesday for authorization to seek bids to deconstruct and demolish the former nightclub at 6306 W. Florissant Ave. in Walnut Park West, using federal American Rescue Plan Act funds to remove the structure and preserve certain historic elements of the site.
