Early this morning around 1:06 AM, Long Lake Firefighters were dispatched to a commercial structure fire at 3710 Pontoon Rd. Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire through the roof and began a defensive attack under the command of Officer 2103.
Assistance was provided by Mitchell Fire Department, Granite City FD, Madison FD, Glen Carbon FD, State Park FD, and Fairmont City FD. Two elevated master streams were used to bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal…
