ST. LOUIS — At least five shootings across St. Louis left multiple people injured Saturday night into early Sunday morning, including a 14-year-old girl. Police also responded to several “street takeovers” and other large gatherings that disrupted traffic.
The first shooting happened at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 3600 block of Illinois Avenue near apartments that had been condemned. Officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said it appeared that the woman and the shooter had been arguing before shots were fired. The woman was taken to a hospital where she remained in critical condition.
Later in the evening, around 9:30 p.m., officers were called to the 8200 block of North Broadway for reports of an accident and disturbances tied to a large party involving hundreds of juveniles. After the party ended, many moved into the street, creating unsafe conditions…
