School Board Approves Plan To Stabilize Staffing

The Kirkwood School District has a plan to address class size concerns and stabilize staffing across its elementary and middle schools.

Prior to the new plan, which was approved by the Kirkwood School District Board of Education on March 9, Superintendent Kenneth Roumpos said teachers and principals at Kirkwood elementary schools were often anxious in the summer, as fluctuating enrollment through July could mean last-minute additions or collapses of class sections and a scramble to staff schools appropriately.
