Nephew shocked after learning Marine’s remains found at yard sale

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — For nearly a month, a wooden box containing the cremated remains of U.S. Marine William Hawkins sat in the living room of a stranger.

Susan Luckman’s unusual discovery at a yard sale is leading to an emotional reunion for a St. Louis man.

Luckman found the box at a yard sale held by a man who said he had obtained it during an estate sale and did not know what it was.
