ST. LOUIS – St. Louis native James Gunn will deliver the Saint Louis University’s spring commencement address for his alma mater, the university announced Thursday.
Gunn, who graduated from SLU High School in 1984 and earned a Bachelor of Arts from SLU in 1992, credits the university in his development as a storyteller and filmmaker.
“Saint Louis University is where I first discovered my voice as a storyteller and realized what I wanted to do in life,” Gunn said in a statement released by the university. “Being invited to return as commencement speaker is a full-circle moment, and I’m grateful to celebrate with the graduates and their families.”
