Golf cart incident occurs on major thoroughfare months after new regulations put in place

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Sunday afternoon, three people were injured in a golf cart incident at the intersection of Kingshighway and Southwest Avenue, according to the St. Louis City Fire Department.

Alderman Matt Devoti said that’s why he proposed the ordinance in 2025, to limit where golf carts can be used in the city.

“I was disappointed to hear about any accidents involving golf carts. Golf carts are by design not intended for use on streets, on major thoroughfares, places like Kingshighway. It is very important that operators of carts follow the laws and stay in the places they are permitted to use the cart,” Alderman Devoti said…
