Recent hailstorms lead to brisk business at auto body shops

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – An uptick in the weather has resulted in an upswing in customers at local auto body shops. West County Auto Body & Service currently has a GMC Denali in their Creve Coeur lot with over 160 dings and a plethora of oversized dents.

“I’ve seen all kinds of crazy things,” said Manager Rob Terranova. “A little bit bigger than quarter-size does a fair amount of damage. Golf-ball really does some damage. And then, you know, the rest looks like people beat it with a sledgehammer.”

Terranova recommends drivers to call their insurance agent as soon as possible to start the repair process. Even a small chip can result in rapid depreciation if not treated quickly.
