ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – When minutes matter in an emergency, patients want to know the hospital they’re headed to is safe. New data released overnight provides a snapshot of how hospitals across the region compare on that front.
The latest grades from the Leapfrog Group were released at midnight and focus specifically on patient safety. The report evaluates more than 30 measures, including preventable medical errors, infections and injuries, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to protect patients.
