HILLSBORO, Mo. – A Dupo, Illinois, man is charged with fatally striking a woman with his vehicle in Byrnes Mill last fall and then leaving the scene.
According to a crash report filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run crash happened on the morning of Nov. 16, 2025, along westbound Highway 30 near Upper Byrnes Mill Road.
The highway patrol said a pedestrian was walking along the highway when she was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene just after 7:10 a.m. She was later identified as Alyssa J. Kalbach of High Ridge. Kalbach was 30…
