ST. LOUIS – We are tracking a line of thunderstorms early Monday morning that has moved into mid-Missouri and is bringing heavy rain and frequent lightning.
Some of the stronger storms may produce wind gusts up to 50 mph as they continue to move east. Small hail also can’t be ruled out. This line of storms will settle across the St. Louis region during the morning keeping us unsettled through the day.
One big question is how quickly these storms will build farther south. If the rain holds off longer south of I-44 in MO and I-64 in IL, those areas will likely heat back up into the mid to even upper 80s Monday. Farther north, with clouds and rain, temps will be kept cooler, highs near 80 F.
