ST. LOUIS — Chef and restaurateur Nick Bognar on Thursday announced plans to expand his St. Louis restaurant empire to the Grand Center Arts District in Midtown next year in a move to fill a post-show restaurant gap in the neighborhood.
The restaurant, to be called Khao Soi Cowboy, is projected to open in spring 2017 at 3224 Locust St., a building owned by the Kranzberg Arts Foundation. Unlike Bognar’s other Asian fine dining concepts, Khao Soi Cowboy is designed be more casual. Bognar describes it as a Southeast Asian restaurant and dive bar that will be decorated with string lights and kung fu posters while playing Thai disco.
It will be open late, making it the kind of hangout visitors to the Fabulous Fox Theatre will be able to take in after a show…
