After 17 years, an animal rescue in Minnesota is closing. Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue out of Farmington made the sad announcement on social media late last week.

Wags and Whiskers launched in 2009 and was entirely volunteer run. While they were officially based out of Farmington, they didn’t have a shelter space, and all animals were in foster homes.

Donations and adoption fees were what kept them in operation and paid for things like vet visits and food that the animals needed while waiting for their forever home in foster care…
