Family of teen found dead with fellow Harding student seeks help bringing her home to Mexico

The family of a 16-year-old girl who was found dead with an 18-year-old man, both students at St. Paul Harding High School, is asking the public for help to finance the transportation of her body to Mexico for a memorial.

The 16-year-old has been identified as Karely Kimberly González Veloz, a St. Paul Public Schools student originally from Jalisco, Mexico.

“With a broken heart, we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Kimberly González Veloz, a beautiful young woman of just 16 years old,” a statement from the family reads on a GoFundMe page.

The fundraiser aims to generate $15,000 to pay for the costs to repatriate her to Mexico, which includes the costs of transportation for her parents and three siblings. As of this writing, the family has received about $8,600 in donations…
