A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued in southern Minnesota as a line of storms make their way east across the state Sunday morning.
The National Weather Service has put the watch in effect through 9 a.m. across Minnesota’s southernmost states, with 50-60 mph wind gusts possible.
Quarter-size hail and frequent lightning are mentioned as the other risks, with the watch area including the cities of Albert Lea, Worthington, and Fairmont.
