Teen Girls Injured in Knife Fight at St. Paul Bus Shelter

Authorities are currently investigating a disturbing incident that unfolded Monday afternoon at a bus shelter in St. Paul, where two young girls were injured in a knife fight. The incident prompted a rapid response from Metro Transit and St. Paul police officers, who were called to the scene at 5th Street and Minnesota Street shortly before 3 p.m.

Upon arrival, law enforcement encountered a chaotic scene involving three juvenile girls engaged in a physical altercation that escalated to involve a knife, according to statements from Metro Transit Police. The nature of the dispute remains under investigation, and the circumstances leading to the altercation are yet to be fully determined.

The swift response from officers helped quell the altercation, preventing further harm. Emergency medical services were called to the scene to attend to the victims. Two girls, aged 15 and 17, sustained injuries during the altercation and were subsequently transported to Regions Hospital. Fortunately, authorities have confirmed their injuries are not life-threatening, offering a small relief during this troubling incident.
