The City of Saint Paul’s youth employment program, Right Track, has begun its 2024 employer engagement efforts. Since 2013, Right Track has provided professional development for youth from low-income households or those with employment barriers. Last year, the program connected 803 interns to local employers, with 80% of these employers willing to offer full-time positions if available.

Applications for 2024 internships are now open. Right Track is looking for more employers to provide internships. Mayor Carter supports the program, stating it helps Saint Paul’s youth enter professional organizations. He urged local employers to host Right Track interns.

Children’s Minnesota was named the 2023 Right Track Employer of the Year. The organization is committed to promoting equitable access to STEM careers and is a leader in workforce development. James Burroughs, Senior Vice President of Government and Community Relations at Children’s Minnesota, is proud to partner with schools and community organizations to increase diversity in STEM careers.
