We’ve been raving about the Golden Gophers, and we like this spot. But we’ve liked, and capitalized on, many of their spots this entire season.
They are seemingly indestructible against the number, a 20-3 record that is No. 1 in the land. Only one time during the entire campaign, Jan. 12 at Indiana and Jan. 15 at home against Iowa, has Minnesota failed to cover consecutive games.
It’s a scintillating run that demands attacking with the wallet. This is a unique game since only two other times this season the Gophers received double digits in the spread.
On Dec. 3, they got 12.5 against Ohio State; Minnesota lost, 84-74. On Jan. 18, the Gophers received 12 against Michigan State; the Gophers lost, 76-66. This resilience demands investment.
Minnesota (15-8 SU, 20-3 ATS) vs. Purdue (22-2, 14-8-2) tips off at 8:30 p.m. Thursday night on Big Ten Network.
