A Robbinsdale Middle School student was taken out of the building by police after an incident in the main office Friday afternoon.
According to an email to parents from Principal Cedric Fuller, the student “attempted to start a fight, which escalated into an unsafe situation,” resulting in a call to law enforcement.
The incident also prompted the school to impose a building-wide hold — in which students must remain in place — “as a safety precaution,” Fuller wrote. Robbinsdale police officers responded and “escorted the involved student out of the building.”
The building-wide hold was lifted after about thirty minutes.
No other details were released, with Fuller citing student data privacy laws.
