At around 12:40 pm on Sunday, a fire was reported in the 4400 block of Vermilion Trail/County Highway 4 in the Lakeland area, south of Biwabik. Lakeland, Palo, and Fayal Township Fire Departments responded to the garage/house fire. According to the Northland Fire Wire, most of the fire was contained in the garage area while the rest of the attached house had smoke damage.
