Minneapolis, MN – Extremely cold weather will descend on Minnesota this weekend, bringing life-threatening wind chills as low as -40 degrees. The Twin Cities and surrounding areas should prepare for dangerously cold conditions starting Saturday night and continuing through Tuesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, wind chills could reach -25 on Saturday night, plunging further to -40 by Sunday morning. Gusty winds up to 35 mph will accompany the Arctic air, exacerbating the already frigid temperatures.
