Chaska police searching for juvenile inmate who ‘escaped’ during jail transfer

The Chaska Police Department has issued an alert over a juvenile inmate who is said to have escaped from custody Sunday morning.

According to a Facebook post from the department, the 17-year-old boy, described as a Black male who is 5’8” and weighs 140 pounds, escaped while being transferred from Blue Earth County to Carver County.

The post indicates the teen evaded a Blue Earth County sheriff’s deputy in the area of the Carver County Juvenile Detention Center around 8:24 a.m.:

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue pajama pants and no shoes, authorities note…
