Man Gets Aggressive with Perham Police and Repeatedly Spits in Officer’s Face

Perham, MN – A man is facing assault charges after getting aggressive with a police officer and spitting in his face multiple times.

According to court documents, a Perham police officer was on a routine patrol of the city shortly after midnight on Monday (February 3rd), when he saw a man, later identified as 26-year-old Troy Hunter Jack of Callaway, walking on the sidewalk that looked highly intoxicated and was struggling to walk right. The officer came back around to look for Jack, and found him rolling around on the ground, trying to get back on his feet.

The officer attempted to speak with Jack, but he was not speaking coherently and the officer called Perham EMS for medical assistance. The officer then told Jack to continue laying down, and Jack became aggressive, calling the officer a “b***h” saying he would kill him. Jack advanced towards the officer, who commanded Jack to back up and eventually pushed Jack slightly, causing him to lose his balance and fall…
