Minneapolis Police End Standoff Peacefully; Suspect in Custody After Threatening Neighbor

In a late-night confrontation, Minneapolis Police officers managed a tense standoff with a gunman who had allegedly threatened a neighbor. The incident erupted just shy of 2 a.m. in the vicinity of 11th Avenue S and swiftly escalated, prompting police intervention.

After arriving at the 1400 block, the police secured the area. They gleaned details from surveillance feeds and witness accounts, revealing the suspect had brandished a weapon at another resident. The standoff, extending over an hour, saw the evacuation of nearby inhabitants, with the police employing tactics that, while involving crisis negotiators, ballistic shields, specialty cameras, drones, and medical staff on standby, were executed without an event.
