Six youths aged 11 to 15 arrested after violent Minneapolis carjacking

Six children between the ages of 11 and 15 were arrested in connection with a violent Friday carjacking in Northeast Minneapolis.

The Minneapolis Police Department says it received a report of a 62-year-old woman who had been attacked and carjacked while walking to her home at around 4:30 p.m. A group of suspects had reportedly jumped out of a vehicle, tackled the woman to the ground, stole her car keys and fled the scene in her vehicle.

Around three hours later, officers spotted the stolen vehicle near Plymouth Avenue North and Logan Avenue North. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled…
