Snow emergency declared in St. Paul: Here’s what you need to know

Saint Paul has declared a snow emergency after snowfall piled up Friday night through Saturday morning.

The snow emergency goes into effect at 9 p.m. Saturday and residents are instructed to move vehicles off downtown streets or any streets marked “Night Plow Route” or “Night Plow Route This Side of Street” to avoid being ticketed and towed.

The city’s assigned “Day Plow Routes” will be plowed beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday. The Day Plow Routes aren’t marked with signs, but the city says that if there isn’t a “Night Plow” sign posted within the block, then it is considered a Day Plow Route…
