Man Arrested After Trying To Sell Cut Up Pieces Of F. Scott Fitzgerald Statue in St. Paul

ST. PAUL (KVRR) — A St. Paul man has been arrested and charged for the theft of a bronze statue of a young F. Scott Fitzgerald two weeks ago.

The statue of the Minnesota native sat outside his former school building on Dale Street.

Police say 37-year-old Dustan Schmitt attempted to sell the statue, which had been cut up into pieces, last week at Northern Metal Recycling…
