Family and friends of a Minnesota transgender man who authorities believe was tortured for more than month before being eventually killed in New York have expressed their shock and sadness at his horrendous death.
Five individuals have been charged in the death of 24-year-old Sam Nordquist, whose remains were found on Feb. 13 after his family had requested a welfare check. He had reportedly been in New York since September and wasn’t heard from since Jan. 1.
According to a GoFundMe set up by Sam’s sister, Kayla, he was supposed to fly back to Minnesota by Oct. 12, 2024. He flew out to New York a month earlier to meet an “online girlfriend.”…
