2 men, 2 teens arrested after south Minneapolis violent crime spree

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara announced Tuesday that a 34-year-old man, a 19-year-old man and two 17-year-olds were arrested in connection with a violent two-hour crime spree that took place on Feb. 11.

All four suspects were taken into custody Monday around 11:30 a.m. on the 2400 block of Bloomington Ave., during a “surveillance operation,” according to a news release from the Minneapolis Police Department.

Between 5 a.m. and 6:50 a.m. on Feb. 11, officers responded to multiple violent incidents throughout south Minneapolis, including an aggravated robbery and a burglary, both resulting in a victim being shot, a second burglary and a carjacking. Investigators said the suspects were targeting garages…
