MINNEAPOLIS — A Chaska man accused of shooting at police officers in the Brooklyn Park Walmart parking lot almost five years ago has been sentenced.
James Howard Klein, 37, was sentenced to about five years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree assault, use of deadly force, against a peace officer. According to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, he will serve this sentence consecutively with a 25-year sentence he was given for separate incidents that happened in Utah. In that case, officials say he shot at Utah Highway Patrol Troopers.
