Minneapolis man pleads guilty in $6 million fraud scheme

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The founder of a Minnesota business and a non-profit agency is pleading guilty to lying to federal, state, local, and private programs in order to get money.

Tezzaree El-Amin Champion, 28 of Minneapolis, is accused of fraudulently obtaining over $6 million in funding and illegally possessing a firearm after being convicted of a felony.
