Wink World shutters abruptly at Mall of America, taking workers by surprise

Wink World, the multi-media “visual funhouse” launched by a founder of the Blue Man Group, abruptly closed at the Mall of America earlier this month, with employees at the attraction given just two days notice.

The immersive attraction founded by Chris Wink opened at the mall in the summer of 2023. However, less than two years later, the venue has closed its doors as of Sunday, leaving only its Las Vegas location at Area 15 open.

“All good things (and neon dreams) must come to an end. Our Mall of America location has officially closed,” Wink World’s website reads. “Don’t pout! The spinners are still going strong at Wink World Las Vegas, where the lights are brighter, and the surprises are wilder.”…
