The next 48 hours in Minnesota will bring some big-time snow to central and northern Minnesota, while the Twin Cities narrowly dodges the bullets and gets mostly rain.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for a big chunk of central and northern Minnesota, while a winter weather advisory surrounds the warning.
The highest snow totals are currently forecast in places like Bemidji, Grand Rapids and Duluth, where a foot of snow could pile up.
Along the North Shore, including Grand Marais, Silver Bay and Two Harbors, 11-15 inches is possible, with up to 17 inches forecast for higher terrain along up the shoreline.

- 6-11 inches : Bigfork, Duluth, Grand Rapids, Hibbing, Hill City, Walker
- 11-15 inches : Grand Marais, Silver Bay, Two Harbors
St. Cloud is currently forecast to get 3-6 inches of snow, and amounts taper the further south and east you go. In the Twin Cities, fewer than two inches is expected…
