Residents of north Minneapolis witnessed swift justice this past week, courtesy of a vigilant community member and the Minneapolis Police Department. A tip from the public led to the recovery of a stolen Hyundai Elantra and the arrest of five individuals. According to a social media post by the Minneapolis Police Department, the sequence of events began upon receipt of information about a known car thief’s possession of the vehicle.
Once alerted, MPD officers engaged with surveillance technology to keep tabs on the suspect. Initially, the suspect’s activities subsided when officers arrived in the north of the city.
