Man sentenced to more than 6 years after admitting to not calling police after girlfriend drowned her baby

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnetonka man who admitted to not calling authorities after his girlfriend drowned her infant child in a hotel bathroom was sentenced to more than six years in prison.

Edwin Trudeau was sentenced to 74 months in prison after pleading guilty in February to aiding an offender. He will get credit for serving 145 days, according to court documents.

The mother, Esperanza Harding, was sentenced to 32 years in prison earlier this year after pleading guilty to killing her child in February 2024 and attempting to discard the body in a dumpster…
