A Hastings man held a gun to a woman’s head and pulled the trigger during an hours-long standoff with police on Tuesday, according to charges.
Martin Frederick Branshaw, 51, was charged with one count of 2nd-degree attempted murder and one count of 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon in Dakota County court Thursday.
Dakota County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a home in Ravenna Township at around noon Tuesday on a report of a domestic disturbance, with the woman telling police Branshaw had a gun and was threatening to kill her.…
