A woman was killed and six other people were injured when gunfire broke out during at gathering at Boom Island Park in Minneapolis on Sunday evening, with Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara likening the aftermath to a “war zone.”
Minneapolis Police Department says it received a report of a shooting at 9:30 p.m. and found a severely injured woman near 11th Avenue NorthEast and Sibley Street Northeast. She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where she later died.
Three more gunshot victims were found at the park – all men – along with a woman who was knocked unconscious, but not shot. Two other men involved in the incident arrived at area hospitals on their own a short time later.…
