Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Champions Public Safety and Community Engagement Ahead of the 4th of July

In a series of community engagements, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office outlined its extensive involvement in events designed to highlight public safety and community collaboration. According to their social media post, Sheriff Witt participated in multiple events, including discussions on safety and women in law enforcement.

Of note, in the week leading up to the Fourth of July holiday, Sheriff Witt joined Commissioner Edelson at the Edina Morningside Rotary and spoke, at a press conference with Minneapolis leaders. The focus was on bolstering security measures during a time when festivities could potentially lead to safety risks. Sheriff Witt’s presence at a 30×30 Initiative panel underscored HCSO’s commitment to boosting the representation of women in the law enforcement sector.

Furthermore, HCSO was active in promoting water safety through media engagements. They highlighted the critical role of the water patrol and 911 communications especially considering the increased activity on waterways over the holiday weekend.
