A teenage boy has been arrested in connection with the killing of 11-year-old Amir Atkins at a Minneapolis park last month.
Minneapolis Police Department announced that the 16-year-old was taken into custody just after 9 p.m. Tuesday in Apple Valley.
He has been booked into the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center for the murder of Atkins, who was fatally shot at Folwell Park in north Minneapolis on the afternoon of June 23.
