Less than a month after Cinemax Holdings USA declared bankruptcy and said it would continue to operate all of its theaters as usual, both CMX movie theaters in Minnesota have closed.
CMX Odyssey IMAX in Burnsville and CMX Chateau 14 in Rochester showed their final films on July 27.
“Due to a lease change, these locations will be closing – but this isn’t goodbye,” reads an email sent to rewards members a couple of days before the July 27 closure.
The company did not offer details about the lease change, if both locations were facing the same lease issues, and whether “this isn’t goodbye” means that the company has future plans within the state…
