St. Paul student arrested after bringing gun to first day of class

A St. Paul high school student is in custody Tuesday after being found in possession of a gun on the first day of class, according to authorities.

The St. Paul Police Department confirmed officers responded to Johnson Senior High School on the city’s East Side around 9:30 a.m. after it was reported school staff had secured the 14-year-old male student and the weapon.
