A woman is dead in what police believe is a homicide in Richfield, and the victim’s roommate is in custody on suspicion of murder.
According to Richfield PD, a man called 911 at 5:01 a.m .Sunday to report that his 37-year-old roommate was in need of medical help. Officers arrived at the home in the 6400 block of Bloomington Avenue South to find a woman on the basement bathroom floor,.
“Officers noted the victim had a large laceration to the top of her head,” police said. “Medical personnel provided lifesaving efforts, but the female ultimately died from her injuries.”
Police say there were “signs of a struggle in the basement living area” — and the 37-year-old roommate who called 911 was “covered in blood and had fresh injuries to his hands.”…
