A St. Paul man has been charged with stabbing his upstairs neighbor.
Thomas Christian Welle, 37, faces one count of attempted second-degree murder, one count of first-degree burglary and one count of first-degree assault.
According to the criminal complaint, officers were called to a condo on the 500 block of Jackson Street on a report of a stabbing on Friday evening. There, they found a 56-year-old man lying on the sidewalk with stab wounds to his chest and stomach, and a slashing wound to his left eyelid. He told police that his downstairs neighbor, identified as Welle, had stabbed him “all over.”…
