MINNEAPOLIS — The doors at Annunciation School will reopen Tuesday for the first time since the August 27 shooting, marking a pivotal moment for students, staff and families beginning their path toward healing.
Among those helping them navigate that path is someone who has walked it before: Frank DeAngelis, the former principal of Columbine High School, where 13 people were killed in 1999.
“It really hit me hard last year at the 25-year remembrance,” DeAngelis said. “A mother came up to me and said, ‘My daughter would have been 44 this year — and that’s how old I was when it happened.’”…
