Vandals Cut 32 New Trees Along St. Paul Road, 1 Year After 59 Destroyed In Similar Incident

Vandals in St. Paul, Minn., have destroyed dozens of recently planted trees, about a year after 59 newly planted trees were similarly destroyed along the same road, officials said.

St. Paul Parks and Recreation said Friday that 32 trees recently planted along Shepard Road south of the High Bridge were cut a few feet above ground and their canopies were left behind.

“We are heartbroken to report once again that recently planted trees along Shepard Road have been vandalized,” parks officials said. “If you have any information on this incident, please report it to the non-emergency police line at 651-291-1111.”…
