One person is dead and two others were injured – one of them a teenage boy and the other a University of Minnesota student – as gunfire erupted in the heart of Minneapolis’ Dinkytown neighborhood on Halloween night.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara says an officer was alerted to the sound of “two bursts of fully-automatic gunfire” at around 2:40 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of 5th Street Southeast and 13th Avenue Southeast.
